There are so many chemicals and generally nasty stuff in conventional makeup and skincare products these days that it’s best for our health that we try and avoid it altogether. Save your health (and some cash) by making these all-natural beauty DIY’s yourself! Your skin, hair, and nails will thank you.

1. Make your own perfume with essential oils

2. Add green tea for a relaxing bath

3. All natural lip scrub

4. Enhance your inner beauty by staying hydrated

5. Coconut oil for whiter teeth

I can’t get my head around paying £20 for a 2 week course of coconut oil with a bit of flavouring to oil pull teeth. This 500ml bad boy was £6.50 and has been in the cupboard since Jan last year and is still half full/half empty, which ever you prefer. At first I was going to buy these pouches but when I read the ingredients were literally 2 things, I was out! I take a heaped spoon of this and chew/swill for 20 mins each morning. Oil pulling done for the day!! I also use this babe for lash and brow growth, moisturiser, a hair mask and hydrating face mask. Where you 1kg tubs at!?! 😁😁😁😁 #coconutoil #oilpulling #diyoilpulling #blogpost #coconut #natural #organic #coconutislife #coconutmilk #coconutwater #coconutcoffee #bblogger #bbloggers #welshblogger #welshbloggers #ineedmoremakeup #naturalbeauty #beautyhack #beautyhacks

6. Make your own turmeric face mask

Greatest face mask of all times!! Fresh turmeric (juice) cold pressed olive oil and raw unseated/unfiltered honey.. 👌🏻 •••••• Did you know that ‘raw honey’ doesn’t necessarily mean raw? It usually has to say -unheated- as well 🐝 if you can get it unfiltered, even better and get it from a source you trust and get familiar with textures etc, that way it’s easy to tell what is REALLY raw.. •••••• Turmeric is the best for fighting inflammation and acne as it’s super anti bacterial .. As a bonus it actually helps reduce oil secretion if you (like I) have very oily skin and it leaves you with a nice glow 😉 •••••• Olive oil really adds to the softness and hydration of your skin without making it more oily! It’s PACKED with antioxidants and RICH in Vitamin E which is super effective if you’re trying to combat acne scarring (I personally have really oily skin so don’t worry about grease, olive oil actually makes it a lot better) ☺️ NOTE: NOT all olive oil is created equally! Most olive oils are actually diluted with cheaper kinds of oil (to make it cheaper) and real olive oil tends to have a really strong peppery flavor! This is typically NOT an item you wanna buy cheap.. It tends to reflect the quality.. •••••• Combine 1tsp raw honey, 1 tsp olive oil and the juice from a small piece of turmeric! Making a small batch of turmeric juice is not the easiest so try squeezing it through a garlic press 😋 or use powder if you have it.. Massage onto your skin for 5 min and let sit for as long as you want and then rinse off!! And be careful! It stains like cray cray… – will be on the blog soon 😘😘 Much love /D

22. 5 ways to wake up looking gorgeous

Moisturize: For a pampering overnight treatment, apply Vaseline or foot balm to the soles of your feet and put on socks before you sleep. To prevent those annoying hangnails, simply hydrate cuticles overnight with coconut oil to both fingers and toes. For face , wash off all the dirt, natural oils, and makeup with a gentle cleanser. Next exfoliate the skin , choose the best fit to suit your skin type and avoid causing irritation and dryness especially during the winter months. Wrinkle Prevention: Did you know that the type of pillow you sleep on can affect the way that your skin looks in the morning? To wake up with “Sleeping Beauty” worthy skin, you’ll want to swap out your cotton pillowcase for one made of silk/satin, which will prevent lines and those weird sleep creases, it will lessen the pressure on your skin and help prevent hair breakage. Whiten Teeth: For an easy DIY whitening treatment, try brushing with baking soda onto your pearly whites right before bed. Leave the mixture on for 5-6 minutes and make sure that you rinse thoroughly afterwards. Repair: To help repair your tresses from daily styling and heat styling, smooth a leave-in conditioner into your locks before you snooze to wake up to shiny, soft, strands. This helps in repairing the split ends allowing them to start mending and helping them heal! Brighten : To prevent unsightly puffiness and darkness around the eyes, applying an eye cream before bed to help encourage circulation around the eye area. Bonus points if you do a nice, mini massage to work the cream in — it will get the blood flow going and help drain the excess fluid and flush out toxins. It’s best to apply any face products that have brightening ingredients like retinol and vitamin C in them during the night. #beautyoracle #instamakeup #skintips #overnight #skincare #instabeauty #igbeauty #igmakeup #makeuplover #makeupjunkie #makeupaddict #loveformakeup #makeup #beautyhacks #makeuptips #tricks

24. Frankincense face cream

Valued more than gold in ancient times, Frankincense is something that needs to be on your face. Here’s a great recipe for Frank Face Cream: 1. Melt 1/2 cup cocoa butter in a pot. 2. Combine melted cocoa butter with 1/4 cup coconut oil, 2 tbsp jojoba oil, and 2 tbsp almond oil in a mixing bowl. 3. Place bowl in fridge until it begins hardening. 4. Once hardened, mix vigorously until fluffy. You might want to use an electric mixer. 5. Add on 40 drops Frankincense and mix until combined. 6. Store in a glass jar. 7. Use morning and night. A little goes a long way. 8. Expect numerous compliments on your flawless, smooth, glowing skin 😊❤️ #vegan #beautyhacks #beautytips #beautifulskin #glowingskin #greenliving #coconutoil #naturalfacecream #lemondropper #crazyoillady #alternativehealing #alternativehealth #frankincense #facecream #health #healing #plantbased #naturalbeauty #yleo #youngliving #younglivingessentialoils #ylessentialoils #vegansofig #vegangirl

DIY hair masks! ✨The First Mask Is A Coconut Oil Mask The Second Is A Banana Mask And The Third Is An Avocado Mask💫 Ingredients: 2 parts Coconut oil 1 part Olive oil (optional) Directions: Combine coconut and olive oil in a small bowl and mix well Apply the mixture to your hair, focusing on the ends Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave on for 15-30 minutes Rinse out in the shower Shampoo and condition 🙌 Ingredients: 1 banana (the riper, the better!) 1 tbsp honey (optional) Directions: Blend banana in a blender, making sure all chunks are smoothed out Apply the mixture to your hair Wrap hair in a shower cap and wait 15-20 minutes Rinse out in the shower Shampoo and condition as usual 🌟 Ingredients: ½ avocado 1 egg yolk Directions: Blend the avocado and egg yolk in a blender Apply to your hair, working from the bottom up to your scalp Wrap hair in a shower cap and wait 15-20 minutes Rinse out in the shower Shampoo and condition as usual✨ Pro tip: + Try applying these masks in the shower after you shampoo – the heat of your shower will open up your hair follicles and allow the masks to penetrate deep into the hair shaft.
